March 11, 2016 – Metal Bernard and CDMB, divisions of Mundial Group, have acquired a new Bystronic 6000 W fiber laser and a Mazak machining centre, in addition to completing a 1,920 square-foot expansion of its offices. This is a $1.5 M investment.
«To meet this growth, we had to increase our capacity. The first phase of the expansion was to optimize our internal processes and hire a lot of new employees to fill our three shifts. Since we could no longer meet demand, it was extremely important that we acquire new state-of-the-art equipment and expand the offices of our companies, » said René Tremblay, Director of Operations and shareholder of Metal Bernard.
Metal Bernard and CDMB are the prime providers for Nova Bus, Bombardier, Groupe Labrie and more.
«The industry trend toward outsourcing can be felt now more than ever. Our customers are looking for suppliers and, especially, long-term partners, so they can focus on their value-adding activities and reduce their fixed costs, » said Louis Veilleux, President of Metal Bernard.
Finally, these investments will better enable Metal Bernard and CDMB to meet the growing needs of their customers and to further develop the US market.
