Sheet Metal Cutting
Our teams take into account several parameters such as material characteristics, finishes and required precision. They will guide you in choosing the preferred method for your project.

Laser Cutting
Equipped with 12 CO2 and fiber optic lasers, we offer one of the greatest capacities on the market. For impeccable precision and finishing, laser is the preferred method, especially for more complex parts.
Capacity:
Steel: 0.02 inch to 1 inch (0.5 mm x 25.4 mm)
Stainless steel: 0.02 inch x 1 inch (0.5 mm x 25.4 mm)
Aluminum: 0.02 inch x 1 inch (0.5 mm x 25.4 mm)
Copper: 0.02 inch x ½ inch (0.5 mm x 12.7 mm)
Our cutting tables can accommodate up to a maximum of 8 feet x 26 feet (2.4 m x 7.9 m).
HD Plasma Cutting
Our HD plasma cutting table enables us to cut parts up to 2¾ inches thick. Fast and reliable, plasma cutting offers an impressive finish at a lower cost, making it an excellent alternative to laser cutting.
Capacity:
Steel: ≤ 2 inches (51 mm)
Stainless steel: ≤ 2 ¾ inch (70 mm)
Aluminum: ≤ 1 ¾ inch (44.5 mm)
Our cutting tables can accommodate up to a maximum 12 feet x 56 feet (3.7 m x 17 m).
Band Saw
Equipped with an automatic and manual band saw, we are able to cut all types of structurals whether they are steel, aluminum, or stainless steel. The cuts can even be straight or angled.
Capacity:
Structurals of 20 inches high x 20 inches wide
Cutting tolerance of ± 1/32 inch
Sheet Metal Folding
Having at our disposal 15 press brakes as well as a folding robot, our team experts are able to precisely transform steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
Capacity
- Maximum deck: 30 feet long;
- Maximum capacity: 1,500 tons;
- Maximum capacity: 10 tons crane.
Plate Rolling
In addition to conventional rolling techniques, Metal Bernard and Normandin Inc. Offers a large-scale rolling technique, unique in Canada, that enables rolling parts up to 20’ wide with various shapes (cylinder, cone, oval and others) with a multitude of rays.
Welding and Assembling
Accredited CSA W47.1, W47.2 and W59 by the Canadian Welding Bureau, our team which is composed of more than 30 welders is trained to weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel. We have the necessary space and facilities to carry out large-scale projects. We also offer you unrivaled expertise for the realization of simple or complex turnkey projects.

3D Printing
3D printing or additive manufacturing is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model. This repeated overlay of material (plastic or other) creates a 3D physical object.
The print dimensions of our “Ultimaker S5” printers is about 330 x 240 x 300 mm (XYZ). They have dual printheads that allow two types of materials to be used in the same print. Several materials can be used such as PLA, ABS, Nylon, CPE, PP, as well as reinforced composite materials (fibreglass and carbon fibre).
Engineering
Engineering which is directly linked to operational excellence is used primarily to analyze and improve any process and product in order to create efficiency gains. The expertise and experience of our experts is committed to helping you implement best practices when using sheet metal and welded joints.
Metal Bending
A bender is a numerically-controlled machine used to form a multitude of radii on different types of structural (H.S.S/ pipe/ rod/ etc). The bender can sometimes be compared to a roller, but the latter mainly focuses on the processing of steel plates and sheets.
Logistic solutions
Packaging and freight budget have a direct impact on your procurement costs. That’s why we offer tailored-made logistic solutions. Whether for the identification of your parts, or their packaging, we facilitate the reception and inspection of your parts, minimizing breakage during transport and thus reducing costs.
We also offer kit delivery service. Simple and very efficient, this service allows you to better manage your parts just-in-time.
We use major carriers and provide logistics services according to your needs.
