Our shareholder structure reflects the group’s mission and guiding principles. It represents our willingness to share and to do things differently. That’s why each division now has several shareholders who are all part of the next generation.

Louis Veilleux

Louis se voit comme un philosophe industriel! Il a une foi profonde en la mission des entreprises du Groupe Mundial, qui est de bâtir une industrie manufacturière plus forte, plus humaine, plus verte et créatrice de valeur pour les générations futures. Manon Viel

Manon s’est jointe à l’équipe en 2005. Bachelière en relations industrielles, Manon a toujours été attirée par la gestion des ressources humaines, particulièrement la psychologie, le droit du travail et les relations de travail. Baignant dans l’amélioration continue depuis son arrivée chez Métal Bernard, elle se passionne pour le développement humain. Écouter, conseiller, coacher, apporter des pistes de solutions : Manon est toujours disponible pour les membres d’équipe, l’équipe de gestion ainsi que les autres entités du Groupe Mundial.

Elle a su implanter plusieurs pratiques innovantes en gestion du capital humain qui ont notamment amené l’entreprise à recevoir des prix prestigieux en ressources humaines comme la “Gestion proactive de la main-d’œuvre aux Mercuriades en 2016 et le prix “Proactif RH” aux Pléiades de 2015. Son approche stratégique, sa vision à long terme et son solide jugement ont naturellement amené Manon à la vice-présidence en 2019.

Dave Cantin

De plieur à chef d’équipe, en passant par la direction de la qualité, de l’amélioration continue et des opérations, Dave s’est retrouvé 15 ans plus tard à occuper le poste de Directeur général chez Métal Bernard. Intuitif et orienté vers l’action, Dave est avant tout un homme de terrain, il guide et mobilise son équipe au quotidien avec son énergie et sa capacité à suivre son instinct dans chacune de ses décisions. À chaque étape de son parcours, Dave a toujours eu à cœur le succès de l’entreprise en gardant à l’esprit le bien-être et le développement de son équipe!

François Bougie

Ayant débuté au département du pliage en 1998, François est le plus vieux des cadres en termes d’ancienneté! Il a su évoluer très rapidement en devenant chef d’équipe au pliage seulement six mois après son arrivée. Après avoir occupé cette fonction pendant plus de 11 ans, il devient chef de groupe sur le quart de soir. Il poursuit sa progression chez CDMB, une autre division du Groupe Mundial, voisine de Métal Bernard. Il y fait ses débuts en tant que chef de groupe et par la suite comme Directeur général. De plus, François est depuis 2014 actionnaire dans le Groupe Mundial.

« C’est chez Métal Bernard que j’ai eu la chance d’avoir l’espace nécessaire pour pouvoir me développer et m’accomplir. La forte tendance de Métal Bernard pour l’amélioration continue m’a permis de toujours rester stimulé. Maintenant, ce qui m’anime, c’est de pouvoir redonner cet espace et l’encadrement nécessaires à ceux qui ont le talent et le désir de se développer à leur tour! »

René Tremblay

Père de cinq beaux enfants et époux d’une femme merveilleuse, René se considère parmi les plus heureux. Directeur général chez Normandin inc, il conserve le devoir de faire vivre la synergie entre les entités. Il est le porte-étendard de la mission du Groupe Mundial, de même qu’un des actionnaires releveurs chez Métal Bernard, Normandin et CDMB.

Après avoir terminé ses études en métallurgie, il a commencé chez Métal Bernard comme technicien qualité. Depuis quinze ans, il ne cesse de se perfectionner en amélioration continue. Il adore travailler en équipe et croit fermement qu’une énergie invisible unit les gens qui ont trouvé leur place dans un groupe. Il adore les former, les coacher, les aider à se développer et croire en eux.

René amène l’esprit de famille partout où il passe; c’est le leader qui propulse les talents. Pour lui, les ressources humaines et le développement de l’équipe sont la priorité pour faire une différence durable positive dans une organisation.

Jonathan Lachance

Formé comme technicien en gestion des PME, Jonathan s’est orienté vers un secteur où l’action et les défis ne manquent pas ! Celui de l’approvisionnement. Pour Jonathan, calme et monotonie ne font pas partie du quotidien. Il aime performer et relever avec brio, tous les défis qui se présentent à lui. Étant très à l’écoute des autres, cela fait de lui un excellent leader et un vrai gars d’équipe ! Bout en train à ses heures, il sait mettre de l’ambiance au quotidien et apporte un bel équilibre entre le plaisir et le travail.

Sa plus grande passion ? Ses trois enfants qu’il aime profondément et pour lesquels il se dédie complètement. Il adore faire des activités en famille et profite de chaque instant. Jonathan aime aussi la bonne bouffe, lire, s’entraîner, cuisiner et profiter des moments simples de la vie !

Camille Rainville

Avec nous depuis 2010, Camille fait ses débuts comme commis de bureau. Ce poste devait être temporaire, car une carrière en organisation d’événements l’attendait, mais elle n’est finalement jamais repartie. L’ambiance festive, familiale et l’équipe en place l’ont rapidement convaincue de rester et après quelques semaines seulement, elle intégrait déjà l’équipe des achats. Malgré son tout jeune âge et le fait qu’elle n’avait aucune compétence académique liée à l’approvisionnement ou encore au milieu manufacturier, elle a su se démarquer. Son leadership positif, sa polyvalence, sa débrouillardise et son impressionnante capacité d’apprentissage, on fait d’elle un réel atout pour l’entreprise.

Après 9 ans de carrière comme acheteur, elle continue de relever des défis et sort de sa zone de confort pour prendre en charge les relations d’affaires, ventes et marketing pour le Groupe Mundial. Sa capacité d’adaptation et sa créativité contribuent à son désir de faire briller Groupe Mundial.

Jonathan Normandin

Jonathan commence sa carrière à un très jeune âge chez Normandin, pour y faire l’entretien du bâtiment. Il a également contribué aux débuts de l’entreprise en opérant le premier plasma. Au fil des ans, il a appris à faire fonctionner la majorité des machines de l’usine.

Après quelques années au service de Normandin, il a tenté d’autres expériences professionnelles qui se sont soldées par un retour définitif en 2006. Il a alors pu toucher aux côtés administratifs de l’entreprise grâce à la grande confiance que lui vouait son parrain, ancien propriétaire de la compagnie.

Lors de l’acquisition de Normandin par le Groupe Mundial, Jonathan a pu continuer de grandir et d’évoluer au sein de l’entreprise. Étant natif de St-Valérien et bien au fait du caractère familial de Normandin, il est facile pour lui de partager cette vision. Travailler pour le meilleur de l’entreprise, ainsi que les gens qui la composent est donc tout naturel pour lui. De plus, Normandin fait maintenant partie d’un groupe qui s’identifie aux mêmes valeurs que celles prônées par l’actionnaire.

Un dénominateur commun entre son travail et sa vie personnelle : la passion. Chaque projet entrepris avec sa conjointe est mené avec enthousiasme et investissement. Homme curieux, il touche à tout et explore beaucoup.

Gabriel Allard

Faisant son entrée chez Métal Bernard en 2008, après ses études en génie mécanique, Gabriel a la chance d’occuper plusieurs postes tels qu’opérateur, estimateur, technicien qualité et chargé de projet. Toutes ces opportunités lui permettent de voir et comprendre précisément le fonctionnement de nos entreprises et de devenir une référence pour toute l’équipe. Ce n’est cependant qu’en 2014, lorsqu’il prend en charge le projet d’intégration du nouvel ERP, qu’il trouve réellement sa place et plonge dans l’univers palpitant de la transformation numérique.

La grande confiance que lui voue son équipe lui permet de développer son propre poste, soit celui de Directeur transformation numérique. Étant très curieux de nature, Gabriel est toujours en quête de défis et de nouvelles connaissances, ce qui fait de lui la personne idéale pour cette fonction. Ce changement entraîne aussi la création d’une toute nouvelle équipe dans l’entreprise, dont il a la responsabilité.

Malgré sa grande passion pour les nouvelles technologies, son côté « Gars de bois » n’est pas à négliger. La chasse et la pêche occupent une place importante dans sa vie. En collaboration avec ses amis de longue date, ils ont maintenant leur propre émission télé sur le sujet !

« En plus de me permettre de me développer du côté professionnel, Métal Bernard m’a permis d’avoir un horaire assez flexible ce qui me permet de vivre mes passions et développer mes projets personnels. J’espère pouvoir contribuer à amener d’autres membres d’équipe à se réaliser autant que moi ! »

Daniel Fortin

Actionnaire

Ayant fait ses études en génie mécanique, Daniel Fortin fait son entrée chez Métal Bernard en octobre 2007. Après avoir occupé quelques postes au sein de l’entreprise, Daniel trouve enfin sa place avec l’équipe d’estimation. Ayant toujours eu à cœur de construire des relations solides et durables avec nos clients, il fait rapidement sa marque au sein de l’équipe. Son grand dévouement pour l’entreprise et notre clientèle lui permet d’acquérir le poste de coordonnateur du département, quelques années plus tard.

2018 est, sans aucun doute, l’année la plus intense de toute sa carrière. Il se joint tout d’abord à l’équipe 4.0, à titre de Chargé de projet en transformation numérique, où il peut mettre à profit ses connaissances et son amour pour les nouvelles technologies. Il devient ensuite actionnaire de l’entreprise ce qui ne manque pas de le combler professionnellement mais, il a surtout la chance d’accueillir son premier enfant. Une merveilleuse petite fille qui le remplit d’une joie et d’une fierté sans égale.

Sylvain Lemieux

Électromécanicien de formation, Sylvain est engagé chez Métal Bernard en 2004 en tant qu’opérateur laser. On lui offre peu de temps après un poste en électromécanique, mais il aime tellement ce qu’il fait et les gens avec qui il travaille qu’il refuse de quitter son poste. Aimant vivre le moment présent, Sylvain se laisse guider par la vie ce qui l’amène à évoluer rapidement dans l’entreprise. Occupant pendant plus de 10 ans un poste-cadre au laser, il se démarque particulièrement par son esprit d’équipe, son côté calme et posé et sa capacité à écouter les autres, ce qui fait de lui un leader apprécié de tous !

Son amour pour l’équipe ainsi que l’importance qu’il accorde à la santé et sécurité au travail l’amènent, en 2016, à rejoindre l’équipe des ressources humaines pour un mandat bien précis. Soit celui de développer un programme de formation unique, alliant le développement des talents et la SST. Ce qu’il fit avec brio, car en 2019 l’entreprise remporte le prix « Formation et développement de la main-d’œuvre » au concours des Mercuriades. Depuis, Sylvain continue de développer le programme et soutenir son équipe avec passion !

Étienne Paquette-Normandin

Étienne a littéralement grandi entre les murs de Normandin Inc. Il a commencé à travailler pour l’entreprise en tant que manœuvre et préposé à l’entretien, alors qu’il n’était qu’un adolescent.

Il est attiré par le travail d’équipe, passionné par l’entraide et l’harmonie au sein de son équipe. Il a su faire sa marque comme leader en prouvant à tous son désir de faire toujours mieux. Il adore exploiter les idées, la créativité de ses membres d’équipe en les impliquant à tous les niveaux dans ses projets d’amélioration continue. Il est un rassembleur et un motivateur très dévoué.

Amoureux de la forêt et de sa famille, il met de l’avant la pureté de ses moments en amenant la même passion à son travail pour y retrouver un plaisir et une joie de vivre avec tous !

Stéphane Cusson

Actionnaire

Stéphane est un bel exemple d’évolution dans l’entreprise. Après avoir touché à presque tous les départements chez Normandin, il ne cesse de se développer. Heureux de son cheminement et de son rôle de leader, Stéphane a le désir de transmettre son goût du dépassement et de l’accomplissement à tous ses collègues, familles et amis.

Faire les choses simplement et calmement, c’est une belle description de sa façon de travailler et de vivre. Toujours à l’écoute et avec le désir de faire la différence, il fera tout pour vous aider à résoudre un problème et du même coup, vous faire évoluer.

Très fier de ses deux filles, il adore passer du temps en famille et avec sa conjointe, tout simplement pour profiter de la vie. Pratiquant plusieurs sports, pour lui le deck hockey est une autre façon de rassembler les talents de chaque coéquipier et ami vers un but commun.

Martin Guay

Actionnaire

C’est au milieu de la trentaine que cet ancien concepteur de vêtement sport a décidé de se réorienter. Son cheminement l’a amené à faire une technique en maintenance industrielle. En 2004, tout en poursuivant ses études, il travaille chez Métal Bernard en tant qu’opérateur laser. Au fil des années, il a occupé les postes d’électromécanicien et d’acheteur. Son expérience et ses aptitudes en gestion l’ont mené à la coordination du département de maintenance. Martin a su s’entourer d’une équipe dynamique et polyvalente, ainsi que de plusieurs collaborateurs externes pour la gestion de la maintenance chez Métal Bernard et CDMB. Plus récemment, il a également démontré son intérêt et son habileté comme chargé de projets lors des derniers agrandissements d’usine.

C’est un homme de défis ! Grand amateur de sport, il aime partager sa passion avec ses collègues et n’hésite pas à planifier et organiser des événements sportifs avec eux.

Audrey Turgeon

Having successfully completed her studies in Accounting Sciences and her CMA Order, Audrey is not like a typical accountant. Energetic and bubbly, she contributes to the great atmosphere of our company!

« At work, I need to have fun, to be close to my team and have a good work-family balance. This is why the Mundial Group values appeal to me so much! »

Although she has only been with us for a short time, her twenty years of experience has made Audrey a highly competent professional. Every day, she contributes to the growth of Mundial Group through her sound advice and her strategic business vision.

Proud to be a hockey and ringette’s mom, she loves following and encouraging her children in sport, as in every stage of their lives! Audrey loves camping and dinners with friends. Spending quality time with those she loves is a priority!

Louis Veilleux

Louis sees himself as an industrial philosopher! He has a deep faith in the Mundial Group’s mission to build a stronger, more human-centric, greener manufacturing industry that creates value for future generations. Louis believes unconditionally in the necessity of sharing and helping others, two often-underestimated elements that, according to him, are always at the heart of the greatest success stories.

His vision, contagious energy, passion for people, and human values make Louis an inspiring entrepreneur and coach for all his team members.

A dreamer, he believes he can change the world! A realist, he surrounds himself with great teams which give life to a vision of peace, joy, and love in a context of productivity and continuous improvement.

Manon Viel

Manon joined the team in 2005. With a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Manon has always been attracted to human resources management, particularly psychology, labour law and labour relations. Immersed in continuous improvement since arriving at Métal Bernard, she is passionate about human development. Listening, advising, coaching, providing solutions: Manon is always available for team members, the management team, and other entities of the Mundial Group.

She implemented several innovative practices in human resource management that have led the company to receive prestigious awards in human resources, such as the “Gestion proactive de la main-d’œuvre” (Proactive workforce management) at the Mercuriades in 2016 and the “Proactif RH” (Proactive Human Resources) award at the Pléiades in 2015. Her strategic approach, long-term vision and sound judgment naturally led Manon to the position of Vice President in 2019.

Manon advocates for simplicity and balance in everything! Outside of work, she enjoys the precious moments that life offers with her children, friends, travel, and outdoor activities.

Dave Cantin

From folding machine operator to team leader, moving on to quality, continuous improvement and then operations management, Dave finds himself 15 years later in the position of General Manager at Métal Bernard. Intuitive and action-oriented, Dave is above all a hands-on leader, guiding and mobilizing his team daily with his energy and his ability to follow his instincts in every decision he makes. At every step of his career, Dave has always had the company’s success at heart while keeping the well-being and development of his team in mind!

François Bougie

Having started in the folding department in 1998, François is our oldest manager in terms of seniority! He advanced quickly by becoming a folding team leader—only six months after his arrival. After holding this position for more than 11 years, he becomes group leader for the evening shift. He continues his progression at CDMB, another division of the Mundial Group, and a neighbour to Métal Bernard. There, he starts as a group leader and later becomes General Manager. In addition, François has been a shareholder in the Mundial Group since 2014.

“It was at Metal Bernard that I had the chance to have the necessary space to be able to develop and grow personally. Metal Bernard’s strong emphasis on continuous improvement has stimulated me all these years. Now, what drives me is to be able to give back this opportunity and the necessary support to those who have the talent and the desire to develop themselves in return!”

René Tremblay

Father of five beautiful children and husband of a wonderful wife, René considers himself one of the happiest people in the world. As General Manager of Normandin Inc., he keeps the synergy between the companies at the forefront. He is the ambassador of the Mundial Group’s mission and one of the key shareholders of Métal Bernard, Normandin, and CDMB.

After completing his studies in metallurgy, he started at Metal Bernard as a quality technician. For the past fifteen years, he has never stopped perfecting his continuous improvement skills. He loves working in a team and firmly believes that invisible energy unites individuals who have found their place within a group. He loves to train, coach, help to develop and, above all, to believe in his team members. René brings a sense of family everywhere he goes; he is the leader who propels talent. For him, human resources and team development are the priority for making a positive lasting difference in an organization.

Jonathan Lachance

Trained as a technician in SME management, Jonathan turned to a sector where there is no lack of things to do or challenges to face! That of procurement. For Jonathan, calm and monotony are not part of his daily life. He loves to perform and take on all the challenges that come his way. Being very attentive to others makes him an excellent leader and a true team player! He knows how to create a good atmosphere every day and brings a good balance between work and pleasure.

His greatest passion? His three children whom he loves deeply and to whom he is entirely dedicated. He loves to do activities with his family and enjoys every moment. Jonathan also loves good food, reading, working out, cooking, and enjoying life’s simple moments!

Camille Rainville

With us since 2010, Camille starts as an office clerk. This position was supposed to be temporary, as a career in events planning was waiting for her, but she finally never left. The festive, family atmosphere and the team in place quickly convinced her to stay and, after only a few weeks, she was already part of the purchasing team. Despite her young age and the fact that she had no academic qualifications related to procurement or manufacturing, she stood out. Her positive leadership, versatility, resourcefulness, and impressive learning potential have made her a real asset to the company.

After nine years working as a buyer, she continues to take on challenges and steps out of her comfort zone to take charge of business relations, and sales and marketing for the Mundial Group. Her ability to adapt and her creativity contribute to her desire to make the Mundial Group shine.

Jonathan Normandin

Jonathan started his career at a very young age at Normandin, doing building maintenance. He also contributed to the company’s beginnings by operating the first plasma. Over the years, he learned to operate most of the machinery in the factory.

After a few years with Normandin, he tried other professional endeavours, eventually leading to a permanent return in 2006. He was then able to touch the administrative side of the company due to the great confidence his mentor, a former owner of the company, had in him.

When Mundial Group acquired Normandin, Jonathan continued to grow and evolve within the company. Being a native of St-Valérien and well aware of Normandin’s family orientation, he can easily share this vision. Working with the best of the company and its people is, therefore, a natural fit for him. Moreover, Normandin is now part of a group that identifies with the same values as those advocated by the shareholder.

A common denominator between his work and his personal life: passion. Each project undertaken with his spouse is carried out with enthusiasm and investment. A curious man, he is a jack-of-all-trades and loves to explore.

Gabriel Allard

After completing his studies in mechanical engineering, Gabriel joined Metal Bernard in 2008. He then holds several positions such as operator, estimator, quality technician and project manager. These opportunities allow him to see and understand precisely how our companies operate, and he becomes a valuable resource for the entire team. However, it was not until 2014, when he took charge of the new ERP integration project, that he found his true calling and plunged into the exciting world of digital transformation.

The high level of trust his team placed in him allowed him to develop his own position, Digital Transformation Director. Being very curious by nature, Gabriel is always looking for challenges and new knowledge, which makes him the ideal person for this position. With this change comes the creation of a whole new team in the company, for which he is responsible.

Despite his great passion for new technologies, his “backwoodsman” side should not be overlooked. Hunting and fishing are an important part of his life. Together with his long-time friends, they now have their own TV show on the subject!

Daniel Fortin

Having studied mechanical engineering, Daniel Fortin joined Metal Bernard in October 2007. After holding several positions within the company, Daniel finally finds his place with the estimating team. Having always been committed to building solid and lasting relationships with our customers, he quickly makes his mark within the team. His outstanding dedication to the company and our clients allows him to be named department coordinator a few years later.

2018 is, without a doubt, the most intense year of his entire career. First, he joins the 4.0 team as Digital Transformation Project Manager, where he can put his knowledge and love for new technologies to good use. He then becomes a company shareholder, which gives him much satisfaction professionally, but above all, he has the fortune to welcome his first child into the world—a precious little girl who gives him great joy and pride.

Sylvain Lemieux

An electro-mechanic by trade, Sylvain was hired by Metal Bernard in 2004 as a laser operator. Shortly after, he was offered a position in electro-mechanics, but he loves what he does and the people he works with so much that he refuses to leave his job. Loving to live in the moment, Sylvain lets life guide him which leads him to evolve rapidly in the company. Holding a managerial position at the laser department for more than ten years, he stands out for his team spirit, calm and composed nature, and ability to listen to others, making him a leader who is appreciated by all!

His love for the team and the importance he places on health and safety in the workplace led him to join the human resources team in 2016 for a very specific mandate. Namely, to develop a unique training program, combining talent development and OHS. This he did brilliantly because in 2019 the company won the “Formation et développement de la main-d’œuvre” (Training and Workforce Development) award at the Mercuriades Awards. Since then, Sylvain continues to develop the program and passionately supports his team!

Étienne Paquette-Normandin

Étienne grew up “inside the walls” of Normandin Inc. He started working for the company as a labourer and maintenance worker when he was just a teenager.

He is attracted to teamwork and is passionate about helping others and creating harmony within his team. He has made his mark as a leader by demonstrating to everyone his desire to always do better. He loves to exploit the ideas and creativity of his team members by involving them at all levels in his continuous improvement projects. He is a very dedicated unifier and motivator.

He loves the forest and his family, and he brings the same passion to his work to find pleasure and joy in living with everyone!

Stéphane Cusson

Stéphane is an excellent example of advancing within the company. After having worked in almost every department at Normandin, he never stops growing. Happy with his progression and role as a leader, Stéphane wants to pass on his desire to excel and achieve to all his colleagues, family, and friends.

Doing things simply and calmly is a good description of his way of working and living. Always listening and with the desire to make a difference, he will do everything to help you solve a problem and, at the same time, help you evolve.

He is very proud of his two daughters, and he loves to spend time with his family and his wife, simply enjoying life. Playing many sports, for him, street hockey is another way to bring together the talents of each teammate and friend towards a common goal.

Martin Guay

In his mid-thirties, this former sportswear designer decided to reorient his career. His path led him to study industrial maintenance. In 2004, while pursuing his studies, he worked at Metal Bernard as a laser operator. Over the years, he has held the positions of electro-mechanic and buyer. His experience and management skills led him to coordinate the maintenance department. Martin has surrounded himself with a dynamic and versatile team and several outside collaborators for the management of maintenance at Metal Bernard and CDMB. More recently, he has also demonstrated his interest and skills as a project manager during the latest factory expansions.

He is a man that enjoys a good challenge! A great sports fan, he likes to share his passion with his colleagues and does not hesitate to plan and organize sports events with them.
