Quality policy

At Groupe Mundial, quality is a fundamental pillar of our strategy for operational excellence and sustainable growth. It is fully embedded in our corporate culture and guides all our actions to deliver compliant, reliable products and services that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.

Recognizing that customer satisfaction is a key driver of performance and long-term success, we place quality control and continuous improvement at the core of our priorities. This commitment is embodied in the implementation of a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001:2015, which helps us structure our processes, enhance our efficiency, and build long-lasting, trust-based relationships with our customers.

Furthermore, our quality policy is firmly rooted in a broader corporate social responsibility approach, in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through our industrial practices and commitments, we contribute to a more sustainable industry, more responsible consumption, meaningful innovation, and a respectful and equitable work environment.

This policy applies to all production sites, support services, logistics operations, and administrative functions of Groupe Mundial, including Métal Bernard Inc., CDMB 9137-0619 Québec Inc., and Normandin Inc. It concerns all team members and partners involved in processes affecting the quality of products and services delivered to customers.

To uphold our commitment to quality, we define objectives aligned with the performance of our operational services and the compliance of our products with customer requirements. These objectives aim to:

  • Ensure the proper functioning of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and specific customer requirements.
  • Optimize and strengthen the efficiency of human, technical, and financial resources dedicated to quality control and monitoring.
  • Maintain the external nonconformity rate (customer returns) below 1,000 PPM (parts per million).

Continuous improvement: Use Lean methodologies and quality tools to continuously improve our processes, products, and services.

Team member engagement: Engage all team members through training, empowerment, and clear communication around quality objectives.

Nonconformity prevention: Promote a preventive rather than corrective approach by integrating quarterly quality risk analyses into all process stages.

Sustainable supplier partnerships: Work closely with our suppliers to ensure the conformity of inputs and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Culture of measurement and transparency: Monitor performance using clear, shared indicators that support informed decision-making.

The implementation of these principles is ensured through structured monitoring mechanisms:

Quality dashboards: Regular tracking of key indicators (PPM, DPMO, delivery rate, customer satisfaction rate, etc.).

Management review: Annual evaluation of the QMS performance and validation of strategic directions.

Corrective and preventive action plans: Structured handling of gaps and improvement opportunities (via ERP – EPICOR).

Performance meetings: Monthly or quarterly meetings with operational teams to analyze results and adjust priorities.
